Two suspects were arrested on Friday in Kambu, Makueni, with elephant tusks weighing 36kg.  The Kenya Wildlife Service said the suspects have been detained at Mtito Andei police station. They will be taken to Makindu Law Courts once investigations are complete. KWS corporate communications manager Paul Udoto said the probe will establish the origin of the tusks.

“We expect some interesting details to emerge. I’m not at liberty to share the information at this point,” he said.
